NSure originated from Wageningen University

NSure emerged in 2006 from one of the research institutes of University of Wageningen. In this institute -the current Institute for Food and Biobased Research (FBR) - researchers are constantly working on mapping the processes that influence the development of plants and the quality of fruit and vegetables.

In autumn 2006, the molecular biologists Monique van Wordragen and Peter Balk came to the conclusion that the results of their research could be highly significant for the agricultural and horticultural sector. To prevent the results from being used solely for follow-up research, they decided to found NSure. Since then, the technology has been available to every part of the agricultural chain and many companies have experienced the added value of working together with NSure. NSure currently employs 14 dedicated and highly-skilled employees.
